All but the fishing was on fire, we were all a little hot! The day had little to no breeze and the heat index (the feel like temp.) got up to around 104 f. with the actual temperature @ a hot 98 degrees. It was actually the hottest day of the year. There was a lot of struggling anglers but we did make it through the day with no health issues from the extreme heat. We had 24 boats bring at least one fish to the scales with only 2 boats with limits for the day. We were all missing a member of the club who is always there with a smile and ready to help. Don Graham (who has had several surgeries this year) fell and has broken his pelvis. He is not a very good patient according to his wife. We all know how much Don does to help out at the tournaments. We hope you will be back soon and we will keep you in our prayers. If all goes well he might be back in time to fish 1 or 2 more and make the fish off. We wish you a speedy recovery. (Dons wife needs to be in our prayers as well, he can be a little grumpy when hurting just like the rest of us). I also want to say that our new weigh in procedures went off great and I would say that all liked it better. (except maybe Luke, it seems Alan gave him some bad info! LOL!) We only had three dead fish with none resulting from the weigh in. Well here are the top five places and the big fish winners. 1st place with 5 fish 14.67 Lbs. Scott Thorpe and Pete Wylie 2nd place with 5 fish 14.64 Lbs. Kieth Thurston and Dave Walley 3rd place with 4 fish 11.10 Lbs. Tony Parkerson and Todd Storch 4th place with 4 fish 10.30 Lbs. Jerry Morse and Josh Haskins 5th place with 3 fish 7.81 Lbs. Steve White and ted Paisley Big Fish was a 5.19 Largemouth by Will Liddell 2nd Big Fish was a 5.09 Largemouth by Todd Storch I want to thank all of our sponsors and Dunkin Donuts for our hot fresh breakfast as usual. If you would take the time to let our sponsors know that you appreciate all they do for us they would appreciate it. Remember that you have a choice where to spend your money for dinner, tackle, services Etc. It is very important to know our sponsors had a choice as well. They chose our club so please choose them and advise them that you are a OHPPBT Club Member. They want to know they are getting something in return for what they give and do for us. I also want to thank in no certain order, Scott Thorpe, Pete Wylie, Lane Brown, Tony Byrd, Detroit Brown, Shonna Silvey and anyone else who I may have forgot to mention. The points are posted and updated for review. |

We were glad to have our DUNKIN DONUTS and the facility provided by Cedar Creek Marina to start the day. The day started with no fog (that was nice), a little light rain on parts of the lake, sun, clouds, and a good crowd. There was 49 boats and we blasted off at the scheduled time of 5:00 am. Out of the 49 boats entered all but 7 of them brought fish to the scales. We had 25 boats that brought a limit (5 fish) brought to the scales to be weighed. Our Tournament Director (me) forgot the raffle tickets but we hand made some to get us by for the day. We still managed to give out almost $1000.00 in prizes plus the entry money. The points are posted, updated and ready for viewing. I want to thank all our sponsors and all members who attended this and every tournament. I want to say a special thanks to Shonna Silvey, Don Graham, Brad Robinson, Scott Thorpe, Jimmy Ivey, Tony Byrd, Troy Brown, Lane Brown and anyone else who helped out on Saturday. I was not my usual jolly self since I had forgotten the tickets, so thanks for your patience with me and the support. I appreciate all of your patience at the ramp when we were taking out at the end of the day. While we were comming out the ski boat crowd (that can't back up a trailer or didn't seem to know ramp edicate) converged on Cedar Creek Marina. This made it very crowded. For those of you that want to start later in the day, this is why we do not start later this time of the year. We are trying to beat the heat and the crowd on the lakes and at the ramps. Well here we go with the results. 1st place with 13.73 Lbs. Tom Clark & David Edmonds 2nd place with 11.47 Lbs. Don Graham and Brad Robinson 3rd place with 10.79 Lbs. Jami Golden 4th place with 10.64 Lbs. Will Liddell & Joey Wyatt 5th place with 10.07 Lbs. Todd Storch & Tony Parkerson The Big Fish was a 4.19 Lbs. Largemouth, Brad Robinson The 2nd Big Fish was a 4.15 Lbs. Largemouth, Jami Golden Congratulations to all who entered and fished. We have many good anglers and this is adding to the long weigh in lines. I zero out or reset the scale after each and every bag is weighed. Doing this it may add a little time extra to the time in line but since we weigh to the 100th of a pound this is necessary to ensure that all bags are weighed properly. This way if there is any residual water in the basket it is not counted as fish weight. The scale does not measure until the weight is stable and the water stops draining. We do not start weighing fish until 15 minutes after the end of the event. (this allows us time to get set up and ready) I have a big concern for the well being of the fish we catch. We had to many losses due to fish being in the bags to long while in line. Here is how we will do our part to keep the fish healthy. This is a NEW RULE STARTING OUR NEXT EVENT. All fish are to remain in the livewells untill we call for the weigh in to begin. We will take flights of ten boats in line at a time. when we are down to 1 or 2 in line we will ask for the next 10 boats. ANYONE CAUGHT WITH FISH IN WEIGH BAGS PRIOR TO THERE # BEING CALLED will get a 1Lbs. penalty. We are the conservationest of the lake, we must do our part. The fish will have a much better chance in your boat livewell than a bag in line for 1/2 hour. As long as your chip is in the bucket by the closing of the event you will get your fish weighed. With out a healthy supply of fish in our lakes we wouldn't be here to fish! |

We had a great turn out considering the weather forecast. Well this is starting to sound like a broken record as far as the weather goes. We had plenty of boats boats show up to fish the windy, wet weather on the lake. We did have a little (very little) sun, a lot of clouds and off and on sprinkles, rain and even a few reports of bb sized hail. The most common response to what did you catch yours on? The answer was "a jig". I want to thank all who helped and not in any certain order: Don Graham, Brad Robinson, Tony Byrd, Troy Brown, Luke Mena, Ron & Verna Osborne, Bob Parry Lane Brown & Will Liddell. If I left anyone out I am sorry and I appreciate all your help as well. I also want to thank all our sponsors for your help and contributions. We all enjoyed the supply of fresh Dunkin Donuts that we gobbled up. The points are posted and ready for viewing. Well here we go with our top 5 places and 1st and 2nd Big Fish winners.1st Place with 15.32 lbs. Josh Clary & Kyle Crecelius 2nd Place with 15.09 lbs. David Modglin & Dr.David Uskavitch 3rd Place with 14.51 lbs. Toby Martin & Gary Martin 4th Place with 12.53 lbs. James Victory & Dorsey Lewis 5th Place with 12.23 lbs. Alan Maxwell & Grady Wilson Big Fish with a 5.24 lbs largemouth bass was Brandon Johnson 2nd Big Fish with a 5.20 lbs. largemouth bass was James Victory We had 5 keeper smallies brought to the scales along with several fish over 4 lbs. I want to thank all who participated, sponsored and or helped make this tournament what it is this year. I know some of you are wanting to fish the weekend after Memorial Day. I will not be able or willing to put one on that week. I spoke with a few other members and I think Scott Thopre is going to try to put on a non club sactioned parking lot tournament that weekend. Keep checking on the web site forum section for more info. Please don't ask me about othis as I will be out of town that weekend. I will be letting Scott use the club scales and equipment but I want to make sure this does not have any points or credt towards the fish off qualification. I also want to make sure everyone has their OHPPBT Memebership Card at all of our regular tournaments. I will be requireing all of you to show me your card. No Exceptions! We had someone try to sneek in as a member this past Saturday. Thanks Brad Chapman |

Plenty of fishermen in rain gear showed up to fish in the less than perfect weather. Thanks to Cedar Creek Marina and Fish Tales Grill for hosting the tournament. We all greatly appreciated the shelter from the rain while waiting to blast off. We started with 15 minute or so delay waiting for safe light, since the storms had so much debris in the water. We delayed the weigh in until 1pm since we blasted off a little late. The day was very much the same as the previous few days with scattered showers and storms. We did have a nice window to fish for most of tournament day being cloudy and light rain. I have enver heard of a tournament to have such a high % of limits of frish brought to the scales. We had 42 boats (we were down from our normal 55 boat average due to the weather) that braved the weather. There were 27 limits of fish brought to the scales with a total of 157 fish weighed in. All but 4 boats made it to the scales with fish. Wiith that being said it was a long slow weigh in line. A special thanks to all of our sponsors. Dunkin Donuts provided us with our doughnuts for the before and after snack. We also want to welcome our two new sponsors, Team Marine and Ozark Tackle. We are also now sanctioned by Skeeter Boats with a Yamaha Combo. (see Team Marine for detals) Well here are your top five and Big Fish Winners! Look how close the weight btween 2nd - 5th places were.(only .56 Lbs. difference) I will have the points updated and posted wiith in the next 7 days. 1st Place with 13.57 Lbs. David Edmonds & Tom Clark 2nd Place with 12.58 Lbs. Jason Hale & Adam Goodwin 3rd Place with 12.38 Lbs. Jesse Gleaves 4th Place with 12.32 Lbs. Josh Williams & Wayne Hunter 5th Place with 12.02 Lbs. Brian Olham & Mark Kirby BIg Fish with 6.03 Lbs. Tom Clark 2nd BF. with 4.72 Lbs. Josh Williamson I want to congratulate all of our fishermen for a great day! I also want to say thanks to Don Graham, Brad Robinson, Scott Thorpe, Pete Wylie, Tony Byrd, Mike Tate and Troy Brown for helping me make this tournament a great success. Thanks to all of our sponsors for making this the best bass club in the Nashville TN area. |

Well it was the best weather we have had this year durring a tournament. The day started of with the clear skys and Temps. in the high 40's. as we blasted off as scheduled at 5:30 am. The spotted bass moved up as did some of the largemouths durring the tournament. The day ended in the Mid. 70's and with a light wind. We had 54 boats sign up and fish this week, out of the 54 only 25 or so weighed in fish. We had only 2 boats bring in a limit. (5 fish) I want to thank Dunkin Donuts for the fresh donuts and all our sponsors for the door prizes. I also want to thank (in no certain order) Don Graham, Scott Thorpe, Tony Byrd, Eric & April Walls, Troy "Detroit" Brown, Shonna Silvey, and Mike Tate our Webmaster for all of your help. I also want to tell our club members thanks as well. I want to say that I appreciate all of you and to say that I am so busy durring the tournaments that I don't have time to visit with the members. I also appreciate all of your patience to those who did not get their membership cards yet. I forgot to bring your cards to the tournament but I will have them at the next tournament. Here are your top five places and big fish winners. The points have also been posted and updated for viewing. Foggy, Fishing, and Flooding are a dangerous combo at the blast off. The temp was around 38 degrees and the fog was very heavy @ Cedar Creek. We delayed the blast off 1 hour untill 7am for the safety of the 53 Boats (the anglers in them). With the heavy rain and flooding Old Hickory Lake (Cumberland River) was very muddy, very high, and moving very fast. The biggest hazard of the day was the amount of timber in the water. I am happy to say that I am not aware of any lower units lost or injury to any club members. There was a blown Johnson motor that was not related to an impact. We ended up with sunny a sky and mid 70's air temp. Here we go with your results. 1st place with 9.38 lbs. Jimmy Ivey & Bob Parry 2nd place with 9.27 lbs. Pete Wylie & Scott Thorpe 3rd place with 7.26 lbs. Steve Hobbs & Josh Carter 4th place with 7.18 lbs. Jeff Hill & Mike Corley 5th Place with 6.70 lbs. Josh Clary & Kyle Crecelius Big Fish 4.41 lbs. Adam Goodwin 2nd Big Fish 3.86 lbs. Josh Haskins Again I want to thank Mr. & Mrs. Don Graham, Mr. and Mrs. Eric Walls, Brad Robinson, Tony Byrd, Larry Petty, Scott Thorpe for helping out and making sure it went well. I also want to thank all of our members and sponsors for your participation and support. A special thanks to Dunkin Donuts for the fresh donuts you provide for our breakfast. Please support our sponsors as they support our club. Thanks Brad |

This was our first "Regular Points" Tournament for 2009. Only the hardcore (aka crazy) anglers were there. There was a slight delay in the Blast Off due to cloud cover making safe light 15-20 minutes later than scheduled. With that being said we extended the weigh in or end time to 2:00pm. It was another day that we got to battle with the elements. There was one thing that was consistant all day and that was the rain. The winds were light and the low Temp. beiing in the MId. 30's & the high in the upper 40's. Most of the tournament was in the low 40's and very wet. If you had good rain gear it was not bad, but if you didn't you were very unhappy (wet and cold too). We had 43 Boats sign up to fish and we signed up 36 new OHPPBT Club Members. Some of them didn't even fish, they just came out to make the new membership sign up deadline. 27 of the 43 boats brought fish to the scales. We also had some nice smallmouth bass weighed in (one of them was 4.87 lbs). We are expecting to have a 60-75 boat average this year. Here are your top 5 and Big Fish winners. 1st Place 16.44 lbs. with 5 fish Todd Storch & Tony Parkerson 2nd Place 13.48 lbs. with 4 fish Ricky McNeese & Pat Moses 3rd Place 13.23 lbs. with 5 fish Will Liddell & Joey Wyatt 4th Place 11.01 lbs. with 4 fish Tony Churchman & Alan Churchman 5th Place 10.16 lbs. with 5 fish Stevie Ray Anderson & Luke Mena Big Fish 6.09 lbs. Largemouth by Bass Robert Bramel 2nd Big Fish 5.77 lbs. Largemouth Bass by Tony Parkerson I want to thank (in no certain order) Don Graham, Mike Tate, Eric Walls, Tony Byrd, Troy Brown, all club members, all of our sponsors, and Long Hunter State Park. I want to thank all of you for your help and support. Returning Members have until April 4th to sign up 10 minutes prior to sceduled blast off. If you were not a member last year your deadline has already passed. Get on the forum and let other club members know what you think of the drawing prizes and how we are doing. Thanks Brad |

We will start posting points after the April 4th tournament. We will post and update points with in 7 days of the tournament. The points for the 2009 season are used to calculate the OHPPBT Points Champion aka "ANGLER OF THE YEAR". The points will also be used to determine who qualifies to fish the next level. This year we are sanctioned by Riverside Marine and Bass Cat Boats. No matter what brand boat you fish out of the top 30%-35% of our field in points as of the end of our Sept. 19th tournament earn the right to enter The Bass Cat Mercury Marine National Invitation Tournament. This tournament usually takes place in the South Eastern U.S. and has been in November in past years. The date and exact percentage of boats in our field to qualify is determined by our average boats per tournament. Points will be posted starting after our 2nd "Regular" tournament April 4th. Postings of the standings and points will be done with in 7 days of the tournament date. Points will be issued per boat or team except for the Big Fish of the Day, 2nd Big Fish of the Day, Big Fish of the Year and 2nd Big Fish of the Year. They will be awarded to the individual who caught them (not the boat or team). The points calculation is as folows issued per "Regular Tournaments" 1st Place 100 Points 2nd Place 99 Points 3rd Place 98 Points 4th Place 97 Points 5th Place 96 points and so on, counting down to the last boat who weigh in fish. Then we will award 25 points to all entries who do not bring fish to the weigh in for participating. If you bring a short fish to the scales you loose your biggest fiah and the short fish. You also get a 5 point penalty on your points. A DQ = no points earned or given. Please note that no points are awarded for Open Tournaments and the Fish Off. Fish caught in them does not count for points or the Big Fish of the Year either. BONUS POINTS are as follows: Big Fish of the Day = 3 Points 2nd Big Fish of the Day = 2 Points Five Fish Limit = 5 Points BF of the Year = 5 Points 2nd BF of the Year = 3 Points |

I am proud to announce a change from our published info that we put out early in the season. We had planned on paying out 5 places at the 2009 OHPPBT "Fish Off" but that has changed. Due to the great response and participation in the club so far. We will be paying 10 places this year and 1st thru 5th place will still pay as good as or better than last year. Even after adding Five more places and paying $ to Angler of the Year, Big Fish and 2nd Big Fish of the Year. We will also be teaming up with Cedar Creek Marina's Fish Tales Restaurant to provide food for participants of the Fish Off this year. If you fish the the 2nd day Fish Off this year you will get 2 tickets per entry to eat @ Fish Tales Restaurant the day of the tournament. OHPPBT will pay for these meals with funds raised durring the year. These are just some of the great changes for 2009. We also are drawing around 26 winning raffle tickets per tournament with a combined value of $1000.00 per event. We also have free DUNKIN DONUTS to start us off at each event in 2009. Thanks for all your support Brad |

We blasted off at 6am from Cedar Creek Marina with 52 boats. The morning went very smooth after everybody visited with each other and exchanged fish stories. Everybody was enjoying the donuts that were provided for us free by Dunkin Donuts. The reason for the OHPPBT to put on open tournaments was to make money for our Fish Off at the end of the year and to generate new members. This was a success, we took in 28 membership forms on Saturday and we raised $ as planned. We drew raffle tickets and gave away 26 prize packages valued at about $1000.00 total. (this was in addition to the money paid out to 1st - 5th place and 1st & 2nd Big Fish) The rusults were as follows:
1st place Tim Guinn & Chris Meyer 5 fish 14.92 lbs 2nd place Todd Storett & Tony Parkinson 5 fish 14.32 lbs. 3rd place Bert Carathers & Jimmy Ivey 5 fish 13.15 lbs. 4th place Grady Wilson & Alan Maxwell 5 fish 11.24 lbs. 5th place Pete Williams & James Gregory 5 fish 10.99 lbs. 1st Big Fish Roy Petty 6.26 lbs Largemouth 2nd Big Fish Bobby Bullington & Martin Rather 5.63 lbs Largemouth Everyone that was there had a great time except the non member that blew up his motor. We had about 1/2 the boats weighing in fish. Cedar Creek Marina gives us 10% off food and drink orders if you show them your 2009 OHPPBT Membership card. Please remember that the new members have until Saturday the 14th of March 10 minutes prior to Blast Off to become an OHPPBT Member. This is our updated deadline. Returning OHPPBT members have until April 4th 10 minutes prior to Blast Off. The there are no exceptions to these deadlines. Have a great day and we hope to see you on the 14th. Don't forget we will blast off in the order of sign up. I Will be mailing OHPPBT Membership Cards on Monday for everyone who signed up Saturday @ Cedar Creek. This way you will have them for this Saturday. Your membership cards are needed to expidite the check in process, so please bring them to each tournament. We will have Dunkin Donuts at the ramp this Saturday. We will start adding a bunch more pictures at our "regular" club tournaments. Thanks to all for your help and support. Roy that is a nice "Hawg" that is a nice fish on any day. |

I WANT TO START BY THANKING ALL OF OUR GREAT SPONSORS! If one word could discribe the day it would be WINDY! Considering the weather conditions we had a great turn out for the first Open Tournament of the 2009 season @ Long Hunter State Park on Percy Priest Lake. The weather forecast had been calling for a low Temp. of 29, rain, sleet, snow and wind gust up to 35mph. With all that bad weather we still had a good number of boats to show up and fish. We made it to the weigh in with out getting rained on. We did however get to fish with 35mph wind gust, and 5+ foot waves. The waves were so big and fast 21ft boats were even struggling. Jarod Simon got 1st place and he will have to use some of that money to buy a new windshield. A big wave broke over the frontof his boat and crashed down on his windshield. While trying to reach calmer waters JR and Larry took a giant wave over the bow and knocked one of Lary's rods in the lake. The same wave knocked a helmet off of JR's boat in to the water as well. Many boaters went home early. The ones who stayed were very wind blown and mostly wet. Even with mother nature nagging at us we still had a great time. This was a very difficult day for most anglers. With 25 boats and 41 people, only 11 boats weighed in fish. We have to remember we are very fortunate to have the freedom and the resources to get to go fishing and see our friends. The results are as follows: 1st Place Jarod Simon & Jimmy Ivey 16 lbs 6.4 oz with 4 fish 2nd Place Dave Uskavitch & Mark Willenberg 7 lbs 8.1 oz with 2 fish 3rd Place Robbie Ervin & Danny Crockett 6 lbs 14 oz with 3 fish 4th Jeff Hill & Mike Corley 4 lbs 6.9 oz with 1 fish 5th Ken Roberts & Rob Adolfson 4 lbs 6.5 oz with 2 fish Big Fish Mark Willenberg 6 lbs 3.7 oz (Largemouth) 2nd Big Fish Jarod Simon 4 lbs 8.8 oz (Largemouth) (no prize was awarded for the 54 lbs Smallmouth Buffalo that Stevie Ray Anderson caught. He is looking for a new dip net since the handle snapped on Luke's net while landing that giant. I wish I could have seen the look on his face the next day when on the phone I informed him the lake record was 52 lbs) I want to invite everyone to come to the next tournament @ Cedar Creek Marina on Old Hickory Lake on March 7th, 2009. There is a group of people I want to thank for helping with the the first tournament of 2009 and they are: Don Graham, Scott Thorpe, Eric Walls, April Walls, Larry Petty, Detriot Brown, Mike Tate, Shonna Silvey and Asst. Director Tony Byrd. You were a great help and I appreciate all of you. If you get a chance, ask someone who was there about the prizes from the drawings. We want to thank Dunkin Donuts for the hot coffee and donuts. We also want to thank all of our other sponsors for their support. Please use our sponsors and show them your membership card for possible discounts on goods and services. Thank all of you for your help and have a Blessed Day! WE WILL NOT BE TAKING ON ANY NEW MEMBERSHIPS PAST MARCH 14TH 2009. IF YOU WERE NOT AN OHPPBT MEMBER LAST YEAR, your deadline to become a new member in 2009 is March 14th, 10 minutes prior to Blast off! If you are a returning OHPPBT member you still have until the original deadline date of April 4th, 2009, 10 minutes prior to blast off to get your money & form in! This was not the original plan but we are having a wonderful growth period this year. I am very happy with all of the interest that has been created. With that being said we do not want to forget who OHPPBT is and what we are! We are a dedicated group of local fishermen who love to fish, hang out, tell stories (usually lies), and share knowledge with each other. As most of you know I jumped in the Directors seat this year and was off and running. We had our meeting and decided to limit the number of members so that we wouldn't grow too fast. We voted and decided to cut off membership for new and returning members on April 4th, 2009 10 minutes prior to blast off. The amount of boats we were trying to get was 50 or so. I have been told that we are now the "TALK OF THE TOWN". The goal we had in mind at the meeting was 130-150 members for 2009. We had no idea that we would have the response we have had. I have been told to expect 75-100 boats for our first open this year. That is great for the opens because the club gets more for our fish off. On a regular basis this is not what we wanted. This is the best way I know to control this. We don't want to be the biggest tournament in the state, only the best one. This club is a weekend angler, family fishing type event. I am only trying to maintain that for it's loyal members. Please call me with any questions, comments, or concerns.
Thanks for all of your support. Brad Chapman (615)497-7373

The Old Hickory Percy Priest Bass Tournament Club (OHPPBT) is proud to welcome one of our newest sponsor for the 2009 season. Town and Country Ford of Madison TN has pledged $1000.00 for our Fish Off. This makes them one of our main sponsors for this year. In the tough economic times that we are all going through this means a lot to us. As you know, out of the major U.S. Big Three" auto manufacturers Ford Motor Company has emerged the strongest financially out of the them. Ford makes a great car, truck, or SUV, no matter what your needs are. With the GIANT rebates and specials, now is a great time to buy a new or used vehicle. If you are in the market for a new car, truck, or SUV, or know anyone who is please keep Town and Country Ford in mind. They are investing in us(the community and the club) so lets invest in them. If you present your 2009 OHPPBT membership card @ Town And Country Ford, prior to negotiation of the puchase price, you will get $500.00 off any new or used car (excluding A,D,X,&Z plan purchases). You also will be able to save 10% on parts and service @ Town and Country Ford by showing your OHPPBT membership card. (discounts do not apply to clearance items or already discounted items and services) I personally have bought a vehicle in the past from Town and Country Ford, and I have used the service department as well, and my family and I have been very happy. They have been serving Middle Tennessee for many years. TOWN AND COUNTRY FORD, has award winning Parts, Sales, and Service Departments. They can be reached @ (615)865-1280. Look for the Town and Country Ford logo to be flying on top of our site soon. |

I am very proud that we have over an 800% increase in sponsors items and services donated. We also have sponsors pledged to give us $2000.00 in real money for the Fish Off. This is a great thing for our club. Lets make this a continued thing. For this to happen in the future we need your help. Use our sponsors as often as you can for your needs and purchases. I will be issuing membership cards when your membership form is turned in and paid. Whenever you use a gift card or certificate that you've won, or go into any of our sponsors to do any business, I ask this of you. Please ask for the Manager and thank him or her for the support they have given and let them know your a club member. If you go in just to do normal business let them know you are with the club and thank the manager. Remind them every time you go in to spend money, or order something on line to do this. Some of our sponsors will give you a 10% - 25%DISCOUNT JUST FOR SHOWING YOUR MEMBERSHIP CARD. They wont want to donate or sponsor the club if they get nothing in return. It needs to be a win/win relationship. We need to show them we are giving them business and that we appreciate them. Keep this in mind, Walmart or Bass Pro Shops may save you a little, but they both said NO to sponsoring us. If you have a choice where to spend your money please choose our sponsors. After all, they chose us! Thanks Brad Chapman |

From that launch site, 51 of the world's top anglers will embark on their three-day quest for a chance at $1.2 million in prizes, including the winner's purse of $500,000, and the elite title of Bassmaster Classic champion. The 2008 Toyota Tundra Women's Bassmaster Tour Angler of the Year, Kim Bain-Moore, will make history when she joins the field as the first woman to compete in the Bassmaster Classic. "We're excited to have Mike & Mike in the Morning come back for some more great fishing at the Bassmaster Classic," said Tom Ricks, Vice President and General Manager, BASS. "We had a lot of fun with Mike and Erik last year, and this year promises to be just as entertaining. Mike & Mike in the Morning listeners and sports fans everywhere are in for another treat." "I have been to Louisiana many, many times," Kuselias said. "But I have not been to Shreveport. So I'm excited to see a different part of the state, which I understand is absolutely beautiful. I'm so excited to be coming down." In February 2008, Golic and Kuselias hosted Mike & Mike in the Morning live from the 38th Bassmaster Classic on South Carolina's Lake Hartwell. The day before their broadcast on Day One of the Classic, the two fished with Bassmaster Elite Series pros Jason Quinn and Davy Hite, who hail from South Carolina. During his NFL career, Golic and his father regularly fished Lake Tohopekaliga in Kissimmee, Fla., after the NFL season was done, so the former defensive tackle, confident in his skills vs. those of Kuselias, talked plenty of smack on the day the two fished. Before the boats launched on Lake Hartwell, Golic made the memorable comment: "I will catch them, but Erik Kuselias will not. He couldn't put a lure on the line if you paid him." |
